The earliest version of Stata that supports the WALS package is version 14.0. We assume that Stata is already installed on the user’s system. If not, installation instructions are available on the Stata website
The WALS package requires installing the Mata library lscrhalton.mlib of Scrambled Halton sequences from the Stata Journal website. To install this library, type the following command in the Stata command window and press Enter:
net install st0244, from(https://www.stata-journal.com/software/sj12-1) replace
To install the latest version of the WALS package from the GitHub repository, type the following command in the Stata command window and press Enter:
net install wals, from(https://raw.githubusercontent.com/deucgius/wals/main) replace
After installation, you can access the online help file by typing in Stata:
help wals
The online help file contains detailed information on the syntax and options of the wals command, illustrative examples, and hyperlinks to the other WALS estimation and post-estimation commands.
